Normal Delivery
All our deliveries are made by Royal Mail First Class Recorded delivery from Monday to Friday in mainland Britain - England, Wales and Scotland (excluding Scottish Highlands & Islands). There is also an option for more expensive guaranteed Next Day Delivery on the postage drop-down menu. Prices depend on the final weight of the box.
Orders received
after 3.00pm will be despatched the following day. Saturday delivery can be arranged at an extra cost of £3.00.
We deliver Monday to Friday during normal working hours and all deliveries require a signature in order to complete the delivery. We will send a confirmation email to the person ordering the box when delivery has taken place. Whilst we do our best to ensure a next day delivery, we can never guarantee this. Occasionally a delivery can be delayed, particularly the further it is travelling, for example Scotland, if road traffic conditions delay courier connections.
Orders received after 3.00m on Friday will be despatched on Monday for a Tuesday delivery, although we may contact you to see if you want to arrange a Saturday delivery for an additional £3.00.
A Bank Holiday Monday and other public holidays will delay collection and delivery by an additional day.
Our boxes can be delivered to either home or hospital and all boxes need a signature.
Home Delivery
If there is no-one at the delivery address when delivery is attempted, and there is no suitable alternative for the courier to deliver the parcel to (eg. neighbour etc), then the courier will leave an attempted delivery card. This gives the recipient details of how to rearrange a second delivery.
Hospital Delivery
Guaranteed next day delivery is the recommended delivery for a hospital. T
o arrange a successful hospital delivery we need a ward name or number. Please ensure that if you are arranging a delivery to hospital that the recipient will still be in hospital when the box is delivered, and will not be discharged early.
Once a gift box has been confirmed to us as as delivered to the hospital by Royal Mail, it is the responsibility of the hospital post room tp ensure delivery to the patient. Sometimes hospital deliveries are only made in the morning and therefore when a delivery is made to the hospital before 1pm, it may not be delivered to the recipient until the following working day. We are happy to contact a hospital post room to expedite a delivery and on occasions, it may be worth a family member collecting a gift box from the post room for the recipient. Many hospital post rooms are shut on Saturday and won't take or make a delivery.
Undelivered Gifts
We rely on the accuracy of the delivery address you give us and cannot accept liability for late or failed delivery if this is incorrect. If the box remains undelivered after two attempts, it will be returned to The Get Well Gift Box Company and we will incur a charge. This charge and the original delivery charge will be deducted when we credit your payment card with the cost of the undelivered goods.
If a hospital delivery has been arranged and the recipient is discharged early, so misses the delivery, the gift box will be returned to us, unless it can be collected by the family from the hospital. We will re-imburse you the cost of your box, minus any additional delivery charges that have been incurred.
