About Us

We set up The Get Well Gift Box because we thought that the gifts available to send to a friend, relative or work colleague who is unwell and may be in hospital, were not particularly imaginative or relevant.

Most tend to consist of a teddy, tin of biscuits and a twisty puzzle and we felt people would prefer a gift that is more personal, useful and tailored to their age and gender.   This is particular relevant for children, teenagers and men - anyone that might not want flowers, however beautiful!

In fact more and more hospitals are refusing flowers and arrangements because of the bacteria they may harbour and the danger from water spillages when expensive medical equipment is around.

We have spend time researching amongst family and friends of all ages what they would like to receive in a gift box if they were unwell and bored in hospital or at home.

We believe our boxes are similar to receiving a Christmas stocking, full of things that are useful, amusing and entertaining.   To make your decision easier, we offer a standard box packed for a specific age and gender to which you can add extra items if you would like.
